About Me

Hi, I’m Rebecca — the eye (and heart) behind Shutterbug Photography.

My love for photography started early. As a child, I would “blink” to capture mental snapshots, imagining my eyes as a camera. By high school, I was asking friends to dress up and pose for me, once even convincing a friend to do an entire shoot in a pear orchard in the middle of winter. In college, I took every photography class I could find, even creating independent studies to deepen my craft. I once dreamed of pursuing an MFA, but life’s path led me here instead — to building Shutterbug Photography.

What began as countless shoots with friends and family has grown into a passion I’m excited to share more widely. I specialize in capturing genuine moments — the spark of individuality, the bonds between loved ones, and the memories that deserve to be cherished for years to come.
